Well the deep fish are still going strong and we had another great morning bite with about 30 fish up to 3 lbs. The deep shad schools are the key and the toughest part is finding the schools with active bass above or below them. Success on Table Rock has a lot to do with good graph skills and knowing how to read your electronics both in search mode and when you are on top of the fish schools.
On this morning I found a promising shad school by graphing a deep cove, but as we fished the school they move in under a boat dock and with good graph skills we were able to stay on top of the school by tossing our spoons into one of the empty stalls. Sometimes you don’t even realize where you are on the lake because you spend all of the time looking at the graph and following the fish. We shot a little video after we had done most of the damage, but you’ll get the idea.
Don’t be afraid of the colder temperatures or rumors of not catching bass in the winter. Give me a call and let’s go out and catch some of these deep fish. It’s really a lot of fun when you get into them and it’s sort of like playing a video game when you can see them clearly on the graph.
Until Next time,
Jamie <'))))><
