Table Rock Lake Fishing Report 5/21/15

Table Rock Lake is about 2 feet above normal pool.  The water temps are hovering around 68 to 69 degrees around the Dam area.  The majority of the fish are now done with the spawn.  You can still catch fish from the back of the pockets all the way out to the mainlake.  A lot of the shallow fish in the pockets and coves are  guarding fry.  The fish on the mainlake are starting to make their way a little deeper.  Early in the morning they are coming up shallow and you can catch them on top water and as the sun gets up they start dropping deeper. You can catch them from 15 to 30 feet deep when the sun is up high.  It just depends on cloud cover and wind.  On certain days you can find some good topwater action about 3/4 of the way back in of some of the deeper creeks.  These fish will be a mix of Largemouth, Kentuckies and White Bass.  With the Holiday this weekend, remember to get out early and give the lake to the pleasure boaters in the afternoon.  If we get the rain they are calling for you should be able to stay out and catch some nice fish on topwater.

Until next time   GOOD FISHIN’
