Table Rock Lake Fishing Report July 1, 2018

Table Rock Lake is at normal summertime pool.  The water temps a hanging in the mid 80s with the water clarity at 10 to 12 feet.  Fishing is still good for Kentucky Bass with a few smallmouth and largemouth mixed in.  If your out at first light, we do have a topwater bite still going on.  It doesn’t last long but you can still get some on mainlake points.  I’m not finding a good bottom bite so once the sun gets up I am fishing for suspended fish.  Keep your eye on your locator and just keep moving around all the way out to 80 foot.  You will see them suspending down around the 25 foot mark.  I have been dropping nightcrawlers down to catch these fish.  As the sun gets higher, the fish that are in the deep trees start  getting active. Again I have been dropping crawlers down to catch these fish. If your out in the late afternoon, I believe you could probably catch them on the bottom as this is when they are generating water.  I just haven’t been out that late to check.

Till next time   Good Fishin’
