Table Rock Lake Fishing Report March 21 2017

Table Rock Lake is 8 feet below power pool. The water temperature is in the low 50s. With the water warming up, we have a lot of fish moving up shallow. We have been catching a lot of Smallmouth, Kentucky and Largemouth Bass from the bank down to 15 feet. The best baits for us have been a five inch curly tail grub or a 4 inch swim bait fished on a 1/4 ounce jig head. We have been catching them from the mainlake points and banks with mixed gravel and chunk rock all the way to the backs of coves and pockets that have some ledge and chunk rock. I believe the fish in the coves are starting to stage for the spawn and our next full moon if not this upcoming new moon will have a wave of spawning fish move up. We have also been catching some nice fish on jerkbaits and crankbaits on the windy banks and points. We’ve also been catching a few bonus Crappie on the grubs and swimbaits.

Till next time Good Fishin’
Jamie
