Table Rock Lake Fishing Report May 5, 2018

Table Rock Lake is 2 1/2 feet above normal pool.  The water temperature is starting out in the low 60s in the morning.  The Bass are in all stages of the spawn. We have a wave that is done spawning, some on the nests and a wave of fish getting ready to move in to spawn.  The topwater bite has started to pick up. we are catching them on a Zara Spook or a jointed rapala slowly worked on top.  That best bite is first thing in the morning during the shad spawn but you can catch them on top throughout the day with the right conditions.  My best bite is fishing grubs on a 1/4 oz head on the mainlake points targeting the fish that are moving in and the fish that are starting to move out of the spawning areas.  I’m still catching some on a Carolina rigged centipede but have been working the grub more. The fishing on Table Rock is good right now so if your interested in getting in on the action, give me a call.

 Till next time   Good Fishin’
