Table Rock Lake Fishing Report September 1, 2016

Table Rock Lake is almost 3 feet below normal pool.  The water temperature is in the mid 80s.  The Bass fishing remains to be very good with the majority of our fish coming deep on nightcrawlers.  The fish have started to relate to the bottom and are eating crawdads.  You can catch them early on a football head jig or a shakeyhead working them in 15 to 30 feet deep on the mainlake points.  Once the sun gets up it’s better to change up to a dropshot rig and work the points in the 25 to 30 foot range.  If this bite slows just move out over deeper water and look for the fish suspended in the same range over 50 feet of water.  We have been catching a lot of big bluegill in the 25 to 30 foot range on the points also.  With the Labor Day Weekend upon us remember to get out early and leave the lake to the pleasure boaters in the afternoon.

Till next time   Good Fishin’
