Table Rock Lake Fishing Report September 3, 2015

smallynice

Table Rock Lake is 3 feet above normal pool and the water temperature is in the low 80s.  With the water clarity diminished, you can find fish just about anywhere from a foot of water down to 30 feet.  The thermocline did not develop until late summer and had set up fairly shallow at 20 feet.  Just recently did it start to move down toward the 30 foot range.  We have been caching fish with Spinner baits, Crank baits, Jigs, Tubes and drop shotting with night crawlers.  We have been catching fish on Main lake and Secondary Points, in the coves and pockets and suspended over deep water.  There seems to be fish just about anywhere you fish although there aren’t many spots where they a schooled up.  Once you find a school you can get into them pretty good.  The Smallmouth Bass have stuck around all summer and can still be caught on Main lake gravel points.  With the holiday weekend coming up, make sure you get out early as the boat traffic will be horrible in the afternoon.

Till next time   Good Fishin’
