My name is Jamie Kowalsky and I am the owner of Indian Point Guide Service. I was born and raised in Hometown Illinois which is a suburb of Chicago. In my early teens our family moved to Wilmington which is 50 miles south of Chicago. There I started fishing the Kankakee River for carp and catfish. By my late teens I joined a strip mine club named South Wilmington Sportsman Club and started fishing for Bass. There, I met a man named Ed Calhouln and he introduced me to tournament fishing. Boy was I hooked. I spent the next 6 years fishing local tournaments before I decided I had to fish for a living. In my mid 20s I quit my job and went on the road fishing regional tournaments. I had a blast. At one tournament on Truman Lake in Missouri, I met the owner of Bucksaw Marina. We hit it off so well he invited me to come guide for his Marina, so in 1987 I moved down to Truman and my guiding career started. I guided on Truman for 3 years then bought a resort on Bull Shoals Lake and ran my resort and guided there for the next 15 years. For the last 12 years I have been living on Table Rock Lake and have been running my Indian Point Guide Service full time. At present time I am running 100 trips per year and if I am not guiding I am out looking for more fish for my clients to catch.
